2nd New Zeland Field Ambulance, New Zealand Medical Services served with the 1st New Zeland Division at the Battle of Messines in 1917. Arriving at the beginning of March 1917, the 2nd New Zealand Field Ambulance was in charge of the Divisional Rest Station at Steenwerck, situated in substantial buildings, which also housed the offices of the Headquarters of the 1st NZ Division.
